The most up-to-date genetic selection tools are now available to assist you in maximizing your operation's profitability. Incorporation of EPDs into your breeding decisions is the most accurate way to achieve genetic progress, which in turn will allow you to achieve your operation's genetic goals quicker. Data Searches and Tools contains numerous features that can assist you in using the Spring 2010 EPDs. Additionally, not only does the Genetics page contain EPD averages, percentiles, and trends; but it’s also a great source of general genetic information.

Print Certificate of Compliance right off the website

Certificate of Compliance

You are now able to search and print FCCP Certificates of Compliance right off the Red Angus website.  The Certificate is the official documentation for Age, Source and Genetic Verification and is produced after the return of the Enrollment Agreement from enrolled producers.  If unable to find Certificate of Complaince for a group of calves, please contact the National Office.

If you would like the report mailed, please let us know ASAP!
• The inventory will determine Spring Herd Assessments ‘10 and be billed in July.
• Only animals of assessment age (females 16 mos., bulls 30 mos.) are billed.
• Inventories should be updated no later than February 8, 2010.

To-Do Check-List:
• Inventory should include females calving January 1st – June 30th.
• Add any animals not found on the inventory, & will be calving with your Spring herd.
• Mark disposal codes for animals that have been disposed.
• Indicate any changes to calving season – Spring to Fall.

  • Data submitted will be used to calculate the economically relevant Red Angus Heifer Pregnancy EPD. All other data necessary to calculate the Heifer Pregnancy EPD will be gathered through regular THR procedures.

To-Do List:

  • Breeding Season Start and End Dates
  • Whether or not the heifer was exposed or will be exposed to breeding in pasture, A.I. or both (Yes or No)
  • Management Group Designation
  • Disposal Code Information

Data should be received by February 17, 2010!
