American/Canadian Junior Red Angus "Exchange"In 2001 the JRA and the Canadian Junior Angus Association worked together to have an "exchange" between juniors to attend the Canadian National Jr. Show and Round-Up. If you are interested in applying for "sponsorship" from the JRA to attend the 2006 Showdown - Canadian National Junior Show, July 19-21, Sussex, New Brunswick, please read the following requirements and send an application if you are eligible. APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 1 Requirement for sponsorship to the Canadian Junior "Showdown": 1. Must be a current, active member of the JRA (emphasis on active) 2. Must be at least 18 years of age or travel with a parent 3. Must have attended Round-Up at least once during the past 3 years Selection will be based on JRA involvement from Round-Up 2002 through the present, including but not limited to: a. Round-Up attendance and participation in contests and events b. National Junior Show c. National Red Angus Convention d. JRA Essay Contest e. Photo Contest f. Summer Jobs Program g. Junior Stockgrowers Contest , Denver, Colorado h. Contributions to the Red Generation and ARA Magazine Additional consideration may be given for listing of "extra curricular" Red Angus-related activities. Interested and eligible JRA members must complete an "essay" detailing "Why I Want to Represent the RAAA/JRA at the Canadian Junior Showdown AND How I Will Represent the RAAA/JRA at the Canadian Junior Showdown".
