JRA PRESIDENT

Laura Daniel - LaGrange, Georgia
Hi! My name is Laura Daniel and I am from LaGrange, Georgia.  I am serving as this year’s JRA President and I represent the southern region. I currently attend Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia where I am working on a dual major in Diversified Agriculture Production and Rural Studies. I enjoy anything that involves agriculture especially helping out on my family’s farm where we raise cattle and timber. I am excited to be able to serve you on the JRA board. JRA FIRST VICE-PRESIDENT

Cele Ketchum - Plevna, Montana
Hey! I’m Cele Ketchum, your 2011-2012 1st Vice President. I am from Plevna, MT. I will be attending Oklahoma State University this fall to major in Agriculture Education and minor in Music. I help on the family ranch with A.I.ing, haying, and about anything else that has to do with cattle. I own a small herd of Registered and Commercial Red Angus cattle along with a Registered Quarter Horse and Registered Border Collie. I can’t wait for what lies ahead in the following year!

JRA SECOND VICE-PRESIDENT

Shana Morcom - Arlington, Washington
Hi, my name is Shana Morcom and I currently hold the 2nd vice president position on the Junior Red Angus Board. I am from Arlington, Washington and attend Arlington High school as a Senior. I am involved in Drama club and I'm also the Arlington FFA reporter and District 1 FFA reporter. As a farm we have about 50 registered cattle, 45 Red Angus and 5 Jerseys that Ihave recently started raising for showing. This year as the 2nd vice president, I am excited to help in any way I can to involve more Juniors from the west region in the activites we host as the JRA.

JRA PUBLIC RELATIONS DIRECTOR 

Alyssa Looney - Denton, Texas
Howdy! I am Alyssa Looney from Denton, Texas, and I am proud to serve as the at-large representative for the Great Plains Region and your JRA Public Relations Director!  I am a 21-year-old senior at Texas A&M University majoring in Agribusiness, minoring in German and Economics, and working toward a Certificate in International Agriculture and Trade.  I have been actively involved in the JRA for seven years, since I got started with showing Red Angus heifers in FFA.  This is my second term on the JRA Board.   I previously served as Public Relations Director and then President in an at-large position for the Northeast Region.  I am very excited to start my second term and represent the Great Plains!  I am also very active in the Texas Junior Red Angus Association, serving as Queen for five years.  Other than the JRA, I am very involved with the Texas A&M Saddle and Sirloin Club, Beef Cattle Association, and Alpha Zeta.  I look forward to what this year has in store for the Junior Red Angus!  Please feel free to contact me for any reason at alooney@tamu.edu
