NATIONAL JUNIORS RED ANGUS SHOW
RULES AND CLASSES
- The National Junior Red Angus Show is conducted under the rules of the Red Angus Association of America.
The National Junior Red Angus Show rotates through 5 regions along with the National Red Angus Open Show, with one National show being held in each fiscal year of the RAAA: Denver, Fort Worth, Louisville, N.I.L.E. and Iowa State Fair.
2007 – National Western Stock Show, Denver, CO
2008 – Ft. Worth Livestock Show and Rodeo, Ft. Worth, TX
Specific information for each National Junior Show will be in that exposition’s premium book.
- Exhibitors in the National Junior Red Angus Show must be current, active members of the National Junior Red Angus Association (JRA).
- Animals entered in the National Junior Red Angus Show must be registered in the name of the junior exhibitor, his/her family’s ranch, or an immediate family member (father, mother, sister, brother) and must be in their ownership status (reflected on registration certificate) for a period of not less than 60 days prior to the announced date of the judging of the National Junior Red Angus Show.
Junior members may show an animal that is owned jointly with other owners but the junior member’s name must be on the registration certificate as least 60 days prior to the show. Ownership requirements for the National Junior Red Angus Show are subject to the rules and regulations of the hosting exhibition.

| Bred and Owned Heifers |
any animal shown in the National Junior Show that is Bred and Owned by the junior exhibitor. Animal’s registration certificate MUST show the junior exhibitor as the breeder and one of the owners of the entry. |
| Cow/Calf Pair |
cow must be owned by the junior exhibitor. Calf at side must be Bred and Owned by the junior exhibitor. |
| Bred and Owned bull calf |
calf must be exhibited in the cow/calf pair class and must show the junior exhibitor as breeder and one of the owners. |
| Showmanship |
Junior Division: exhibitor is 15 years or younger on day of show
Senior Division: exhibitor is 16 – 21 years on day of show
