JRA GRAPHIC DESIGN / WEB SITE DESIGN CONTEST RULES

The JRA Graphic Design Contest was established to provide another opportunity for members to showcase their creative and technical skills in developing Red Angus promotion materials. Entries in the Graphic Design Contest must be created by the JRA member submitting the design and must be created using computer technology.

  1. Your website or graphic design must be created using computer technology.
  2. Promote the Red Angus breed, organization, industry or individual herd.
    Examples are flyers, advertisements, newsletters, brochures, etc.
  3. If you enter a web site design, there must be at least one link to another page included with your entry.
  4. Designs will be judged on:
    • 35% Clarity of what is being promoted
    • 30% Neatness and organization
    • 35% Originality of design

There are two divisions in the Graphic Design Contest:

  • Division 1 – business card
  • Division 2 –Red Angus promotion (includes flyers, brochures, breed promotion material, newsletters, personal herd promotion, individual animal promotion…)

Website designs are wide open for entry but entries must relate to Red Angus promotion – an event, ranch, field day, JRA, commercial marketing, individual cattle

Entries must be completed and received by May 1. You can e-mail your graphic design, but a hard copy is preferred, and must e-mail your website design. However, you may also send your graphic design via regular, United States Postal Service mail. All entries are mailed to:
