Powerpoint / Graphic Design

The JRA Powerpoint Presentation Contest provides members an opportunity to showcase their creative and technical talents in creating, designing and producing a powerpoint presentation promoting the Red Angus marketing program designated for that entry year. Though not required, the presentation may include music, video clips, and/or slide transitions.
The computer program used to create the presentation is not limited as there are a number of programs available that will create a slide presentation.

Beginning with 2009, a specific RAAA program is identified as the topic for all powerpoint presentations submitted in that year. Presentations will be considered for use as a promotional tool within the RAAA. If selected for the public relations option by the RAAA Board of Directors, the winning presentation will be accompanied by a written scrip and will be made available for use at meetings, sales or other locations where organizers wish to offer a program on the topic of that year.

CONTEST RULES

  1. Each presentation must have a minimum:
    Junior division (15 years of age and younger) – 6 slides
    Senior division (16 through 21 years of age) - 12 slides.
  2. Presentations must have at least 2 pictures or clip art that support the idea of the presentation.
  3. Presentations may include but do not require music, video clips, or slide transitions.
  4. Presentations must relate to the topic as defined for the year.

  5. Presentations will be judged on:
    1. 40% Slide content
    2. 35% Originality
    3. 15% Technical merit
    4. 10% Overall affect of the presentation
