DENVER — Each year, the Red Angus Association of America honors operations with top-performing cattle. The Grid Master Award is earned by those who have successfully combined high-performing Red Angus genetics, skillful feeding and precise marketing to achieve success with the slaughter of superior beef carcasses. Josh Taylor, RAAA commercial marketing specialist, announced the recipients of the 2023 Grid Master Awards at the 70th National Red Angus Convention held Sept. 13-15 in Denver.
" The annual Grid Master Awards offer Red Angus producers a chance to showcase their genetics and operations on a stage that is set by the consumer," said Taylor. "This year's Grid Master recipients have shown the industry that Red Angus cattle will consistently produce the quality and quantity of beef that is demanded in the marketplace today."
To be named a Grid Master, entries must be Red Angus or Red Angus-influenced cattle enrolled in RAAA’s Feeder Calf Certification Program or Allied Access tag program and must achieve a specified level of carcass excellence. The program is open to both conventionally and naturally fed cattle.
