Posted August 19, 2015

Denton, Texas – Twig Marston, CEO Red Angus Association of America, announced today that Beth Gaines has been hired to fill the role as the Communications Coordinator.

“We are pleased to bring Beth onto the Red Angus team,” Marston said.  “Her extensive agricultural communications experience will be an asset to our organization.  She understands the need for effective outreach to our customers, members as well as to our media partners.  Her professional experiences will serve our organization very well.”

Prior to joining RAAA, Gaines served the Kansas Department of Agriculture as the Director of Communications.  She also was the editor of Grass & Grain, a regional weekly farm and ranch publication for 16 years.  In that role she worked closely with farm and ranch families for feature content as well as helping regional livestock markets with their advertising needs.

“I’m looking forward to working daily with beef producers, serving the Red Angus membership and helping educate cattlemen everywhere about the important role Red Angus genetics can play in their ranching operations,” Gaines said.

A native Kansan, Gaines was raised on a diversified crop and livestock operation.  She has three children, all of whom have been active in 4-H and FFA.  She will work from her home office in Westmoreland, Kansas, and can be reached at beth@redangus.org or (940) 387-3502 ext. 17.
