FCCP Sweepstakes Adds Incentive to Enroll Calves Early

Posted January 5, 2017

Denton, Texas – Don’t miss your opportunity to take home a cool grand and be a winner in the marketplace when you enroll in the Red Angus Feeder Calf Certification Program.

From January 1 to June 30, 2017, FCCP-enrolled cattle producers will be entered to win a $1,000 cash prize with each bag of 25 FCCP tags they purchase. It’s a win-win scenario!

Research shows that calves identified as Red Angus genetics in the marketplace sell for a higher price. Red Angus commercial producers are already winners with the USDA’s longest running and most reliable genetic, age and source verification program! The FCCP Sweepstakes program offers an added bonus to enroll calves early. The FCCP program is free to enroll and the only cost is the 99-cent dangle tag or $3 EID-dangle tag combination.

Cattlemen can call to enroll their calf crop by answering a few simple management questions, and be entered in the sweepstakes today! The winner will be selected by random drawing. Contact Chessie Mitchell, tag program coordinator, at chessie@redangus.org, or call (940) 387-3502 Ext. 2, to enroll in the program.

A special drawing for Red Angus genetics providers will feature a .22 Henry Golden Boy trophy rifle. When tag purchasers call to enroll and they identify where they purchase their bulls, that seedstock provider will be entered to win the commemorative FCCP trophy rifle.

Sweepstakes details are available online at redangus.org.
