New directors were elected to serve on the Red Angus Association of America Board of Directors during the 68th annual National Red Angus Convention held in Boise, Idaho, Sept. 15-17. The Board of Directors leads and oversees the affairs and business of the association as outlined by the RAAA Bylaws. All positions are volunteer.

The following new directors were added to the roster:

Steve Koester, Steele, North Dakota, was tapped to serve the association as president after seven years of service as a director.

George Murdock, Pendleton, Oregon, will serve Area 1 – West as a director.

Stephanie Jung, Mina, South Dakota, was elected as the new Area 5 – Northern Plains director.

The new director for Area 6 – Great Plains is Jason Anderson, Oberlin, Kansas.

Members in Region B, which encompasses the Northern Plains, Great Plains and Southwest areas, elected Craig Bieber, Leola, South Dakota, as their new director.

The Red Angus Association of America serves the beef industry by enhancing and promoting the measurable advantages of Red Angus and Red Angus-influenced cattle. The RAAA provides commercial producers with objectively described cattle by implementing new technologies and utilizing scientifically sound principles that quantify traits of economic importance to beef producers in all segments of the beef industry.
