Spring 2024 Calf Data Due May 23

Posted May 7, 2025

Spring No Progeny Inactivations scheduled for May 30

The Spring No Progeny 2024 list was made available for review in March. Cows on this list must be reported on because no record is on file for the Spring 2024 calf crop.

For those females on the list, here are a few questions to ask regarding next steps.

  • Did she have a calf? If so, report all the calf data – even if the calf was born dead or died shortly after birth.
  • Was she open? Report the appropriate reason code for 2024.
  • Was she culled? Report the correct disposal code.

One of these data points must be submitted by the May 23 deadline to prevent inactivation. Cows without reported data will be inactivated on May 30 at 8 a.m. MDT. If a cow is inactivated and later needs to be reactivated:

  • A $50 fee will apply if reactivated within six months
  • A $100 fee will apply if reactivation occurs after six months

For detailed instructions, please refer to the tutorial: How to submit the no progeny report.
