Due date: End of day March 6

Spring 2024 herd inventory was requested in January. This is a reminder to submit necessary disposals, reason codes or transfers to update your herd. All females listed on your active inventory after March 6 will be billed the spring THR assessment in July.

Reminders:

• Females listed in the spring inventory are expected to calve between Jan. 1-June 30.
• If your inventory is correct and no changes are needed, you do not need to submit anything.
• Disposal codes are used to remove animals from your inventory.
• Reason codes are used to keep females on your inventory active and are required for switching seasons.

You can report data online using REDSPro. Once logged in to the REDSPro database, follow the steps below:

1. Data Entry > Online > Total Herd Reporting.
2. Select the Spring tab, then the year 2024 from the drop-down box. Click the button in the middle of the page that says Start Job for 2024- Spring Cow Inv.
3. Enter disposal codes for removed animals or switch cows' seasons using the season drop down and the reason code column.
4. Once all updates are made, click continue to next step, continue to next step again - and then click final submit.
